This subgroup is named from the only characterised reaction found within. There appear to be two distinct sets of [4Fe-4S]-AdoMet binding motifs. Although the vast majority have the canonical motif, some appear to contain a Cx14CcxC motif. All appear to have the D,S|T motif after the last AdoMet binding Cys residue suggestive that they all bind a Mg(II) ion.

This subgroup is named from the only characterised reaction found within. At an E() Value of 1E-20, all members cluster together, although there appear to be two distinct sets of [4Fe-4S]-AdoMet binding motifs, the majority have the canonical motif, and whereas Unclassified RSAM Family 23 appears to contain a CX14CX2C motif. The putative families for this subgroup have been determined by using an E() Value cut-off of 1E-55.
