This family of proteins are members of the radical SAM superfamily and utilise S-adenosyl methionine, an iron-sulphur cluster and a reductant (dihydroflavodoxin) to produce a glycine-centred radical in the class III (anaerobic) ribonucleotide triphosphate reductase.
