This group includes the characterized 4-OT from Pseudomonas, which catalyzes the isomerization of unconjugated alpha-keto acids, such as 2-oxo-4-hexenedioate to 2-oxo-3-hexenedioate, as part of a degradation pathway for aromatic hydrocarbons. The group also includes two clusters of fused 4-OT sequences.
