Beta-like cytosolic GSTs include proteins with "Beta" Swiss-Prot family annotations. Proteins in this subgroup are known to catalyze the following reaction types: conjugate addition, dehydroascorbate reductase, disfulfide bond reductase, nucleophilic addition, nucleophilic aromatic substitution, nucleophilic substitution (SN2), peroxidase, reductive dehalogenation, and thiolysis. For example SFLD protein 229691 (UniProt accn Q8DMB4) has experimentally confirmed GST transferase activity with CDNB and several isothiocyanates such as phenethyl isothiocyanate.
